Robert G. Zunich, CPA, ABV is a director in Barnes Wendling's accounting and assurance services department. He has spent more than twenty years serving as a trusted business advisor to closely held businesses and nonprofit organizations. He has a broad base of experience in business and accounting consultation, attest services, and corporate taxation. His experience prior to joining the firm in 2001, was with a local accounting firm and two international firms; Arthur Andersen & Co. and Coopers and Lybrand. His employment with local, regional and international firms has given Rob much insight into professional services. Rob is often asked by his clients to serve in the capacity of outsourced CFO. In addition to traditional services, Rob is active in business valuations, merger and acquisitions, dispute resolutions, and litigation support. Rob's experience spans many industries including construction, manufacturing, nonprofit, retail, distributors, publishing, broadcasting, and professional services.

Donald P. Hanck, CPA, ABV is a principal with Barnes Wendling CPAs LLC. Don has over twenty-eight years of professional experience serving local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and individuals by providing a full range of accounting, tax and management advisory services. Don is providing client relation services in the Sandusky office. Don holds the Accredited in Business Valuation designation from the American Institute of CPAs and specializes in consulting on business valuations for estate and gift tax planning, succession planning, business acquisitions and sales, and litigation support.

Laurie A. Gatten is a senior manager in Barnes Wendling's accounting and assurance services department. Laurie provides accounting, auditing, tax and consulting services to nonprofit, manufacturing and healthcare organizations. Laurie also assists clients in business consulting needs including internal control reviews, business reviews, financial analyses and due diligence procedures. Laurie is responsible for planning and supervising many of the audit and review engagements of nonprofit and healthcare organizations. Laurie is familiar with the various financial accounting and tax issues related to nonprofit entities, she has also acted as an interim CFO for a large nonprofit organization. She has experience in reporting financial results to Finance Committees and Boards of Directors. Laurie received a B.A. in Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace College.

Michael S. Essenmacher is a senior manager in Barnes Wendling's accounting & assurance services department. He is a member of our closely-held business and nonprofit organization groups. He has eleven years of experience managing accounting, audit, and attestation engagements. He specializes in internal control assessments. His continuing professional education is targeted at current developments in the areas of accounting & auditing closely-held businesses, nonprofit, and construction enterprises. He volunteers and serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations. Mike received a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science in Accountancy from Ohio University.
